Multisensory Structured Literacy (MSL) is based on research into how children learn to read, often referred to as the Science of Reading. It isn’t a one-size-fits-all program, but a clear, structured way of teaching that works with how the brain learns best.
At enrolment, a comprehensive assessment helps us understand your child’s current skills, so lessons can be fully individualised. By explicitly teaching the building blocks of reading, writing, and spelling, MSL supports children who are struggling with literacy, as well as those who have — or may have — dyslexia, helping them build strong, lasting foundations.
Lessons are sequential and build on from the previous session. Each lesson includes opportunities for:

While tutoring often focuses on helping students keep up with classroom tasks or homework, Multisensory Structured Literacy (MSL) intervention is designed to address the underlying causes of reading, writing, and spelling difficulties.
MSL intervention provides explicit, systematic instruction in how sounds, letters, and words work together. Skills are taught in a carefully sequenced way, using multisensory strategies that support long-term learning — not guesswork or memorisation.
For children who are struggling, especially those with dyslexia or persistent literacy difficulties, specialised MSL intervention offers targeted support that builds strong foundations, confidence, and lasting progress.
