MSL - Specialised Literacy Intervention

Who is this for?

Multisensory Structured Learning (MSL) is an evidence-based way of teaching reading, spelling, and writing. It is especially helpful for students who find literacy challenging, including those with dyslexia or other learning differences.

Rather than expecting children to “pick up” reading naturally, MSL teaches literacy skills explicitly, step by step, and in a way that makes learning stick.

• Helps children become confident, capable readers and writers

Structure:

• One on one, Individualised Sessions 
• Available for primary school aged children and older students who have struggled to form the foundational skills of literacy
• Duration: 60 minutes

Who is this for?

                                                                                                                                 This program is designed for children in Kindergarten to Year 3 who are finding reading, writing, or spelling a little harder than expected. It’s especially helpful for children who haven’t quite picked up the early building blocks of literacy yet — such as remembering letter sounds, hearing sounds in words, or relying on guessing when they read or write.

Our Small Group Phonics Sessions are fun, engaging, and hands-on, creating a positive learning environment where children feel supported and encouraged. These sessions gently fill the gaps in learning, helping children strengthen key skills and build confidence alongside peers. With early, targeted support, children develop strong foundations for reading, writing, and spelling — setting them up for success both now and as learning becomes more complex.

Structure:

• Maximum of 4 students per session
• Available for students Kindergarten to Year 3
• Duration: 45 minutes
